We are "updating" this blog from 2010 because there are a few artists who may be posting cards too early again. This notice is for the BENEFIT of these artists, as a precaution and to look out for them.

Hey everyone,

There's been a few cases of official cards being posted on DA too early. Its been brought to our attention because usually official set cards aren't to be posted until the date given by the card company who is putting out the set, so the postings are preceding these dates.

When you submit official cards, especially for upcoming sets, please check to make sure you know the date you're allowed to post those particular cards so they're not posted too early :) Most companies will include information on when you can show your approved cards with your contract -- or they may provide you with what they call publicity/project guidelines before or upon completion of the set.

Also, please remember that with most projects you cannot post rejected cards. If this is a condition of a set or a certain company it will be in the contract you signed. Please do not violate your contracts if this is the case.

Added: A quick word of advice from :iconjenchuan::

... if you have any questions as to when or what you can post, ASK YOUR ART DIRECTOR!! That way you save yourself a bunch of trouble. All it takes is an email. Sometimes you have to wait for a response, but depending on the company, the wait time isn't that long.

Thanks, everyone!
